On April 6-7, 2019 the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy in partnership with Universal Peace Federation and the Cinario Public Organization, held the first model of the G20 summit in Ukraine.
The well-known format of G20 negotiations was adapted to Ukrainian youth.
This summit was attended by students of the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy and foreign volunteers invited by the UPF. A total number of participants were about 50.
The model consisted of two parts:
Theoretical part — 7 workshops from leading Ukrainian specialists in energy, economics, journalism and politics.
Practical part — participants united in delegations represented one of the G20 countries. The delegates of one country worked in parallel tracks (political and financial) and solve the most important economic and political challenges of our time.
In the end of the meeting the special Resolution letter was written. It would be sent to the G20 Headquarters.
It was a unique opportunity for students and volunteers to master the art of diplomacy, become a delegate of one of the G20 countries, make a valuable contribution in overcoming the economic challenges of humanity and spread the democratic ideas.
