Inauguration

In the United States, the inauguration of the Universal Peace Federation took place on September 12, 2005, in New York City during the International Leadership Summit “A Time of Challenge and Change for Global Governance and Civil Society: From the Peace Council to Peace Among Nations.”

The Universal Peace Federation was established as an organization meant to embody the highest standard of governance, reflecting humanity’s long-held dream of achieving sustainable peace.

With the goal of addressing society’s critical issues, and guided by its vision based on the principle of “living for the sake of others,” the Federation seeks to inspire constructive cooperation among concerned secular and religious leaders, political figures, and civil society organizations.

The Universal Peace Federation is called to become a new type of organization that unites the efforts not only of politicians but also of civic and religious leaders to solve global problems.

Such a vision is needed in our time to transform a world of conflict, suffering, and poverty into a world of sustainable prosperity and well-being.

In Ukraine, a conference dedicated to the inauguration of the Universal Peace Federation took place on October 20, 2005, at the Ukrainian House in Kyiv. The conference offered an opportunity to join global peacebuilding efforts, to actively participate in international projects, and to reach a new level of activity and self-realization. Participants included representatives of non-governmental organizations, educators, scholars, religious figures, and all those concerned with seeking ways to establish sustainable peace around the world.
