School of Peace

The Peace School Project was created to promote a culture of peace among youth.

On the occasion of UN Day, the Universal Peace Federation (UPF) held a conference titled “The Historical Roots of Ukrainian Peacebuilding.” At this conference, participants — including scholars, academics, public figures, and former politicians who hold the title of Ambassadors for Peace for their civic peacebuilding efforts — jointly adopted a resolution to establish the Peace School for youth, aiming to educate Young Ambassadors for Peace.

The first session of the Peace School took place at the Ukrainian House on October 22, 2014. Twenty-four schools from Kyiv joined this educational initiative, and approximately 60 children began their studies at the Peace School.

During the sessions, children participate in training programs, develop and implement their own projects, and attend meetings with Ambassadors for Peace — individuals who have achieved success in life and are willing to share their experiences.

Areas of Activity of the Peace School:

  1. Personal development and training of young leaders

  2. Cultivating a culture of peace

  3. Volunteer and charitable activities

The peace of the future depends on today’s younger generation. Therefore, it is crucial to invest in them today.

It is important to form a unified understanding of the Culture of Peace among children, as this can serve as a foundation for uniting people and building lasting peace.

At the end of the Peace School program, participants receive the title of Young Ambassador for Peace.

A Young Ambassador for Peace is a title awarded by the Universal Peace Federation to schoolchildren in recognition of their peacebuilding efforts, entrusting them with the mission to live for the sake of their country, humanity, and the public good.

Young Ambassadors for Peace are the youth who will become future leaders in civic life, business, government, and will be responsible global citizens with a broad, international perspective.
