On April 12, 2014 at Kiev Children Arts Academy “Portraits of Flowers” photo exhibition had been opened. Author of exhibition Yuriy Piskovskyy is a prominent and internationally recognized architect awarded with the UN Silver Medal for significant contribution in the development of humankind.

In 1993-1996 Yuriy Piskovskyy worked as Chief Architect of Kiev city. He is a member of the Architects Union of Ukraine, Honorary Member of Ukrainian Academy of Architecture, founder and manager of international competitions of future city “Ecopolis”, “Anti-Chernobyl-21st century”, “Concordia”, laureate of “Friendship” International Medal, Ambassador for Peace of Universal Peace Federation.

“Serpiya” and “Flowers” personal photo exhibitions of Yuriy Piskovskyy have already visited Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Vinnytsya, Zhytomyr, Rivne, Khmelnytskyi, Kirovograd, Dnipropetrovsk and Zhaporizhya.

Director of Kiev Children Arts Academy Mykhailo Chemberzhy, President of “International Cooperation” Association, Colonel-general Yuriy Syedykh, member of the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine Volodymyr Gudov, Chairman of Universal Peace Federation Mykhailo Ilyin visited the opening of exhibition in Kiev city. 

“Flowers are very special plants”, said Yuriy Piskovskyy while talking to visitors of his exhibition. “I can picture them all the time. Why flowers? As an architect I see an excellent perfection and variety of structures and forms in them”.

Observation of beauty educates the feeling of harmony and peace in children’s minds. Academy pupils enthusiastically watched charming photos of flowers. They loved the exhibition so much that Academy plans to prolong it until September.
