Fact Findings. Russian-Ukrainian war, lessons for Europe and the World. At the Ukrainian State University named after M.P. Drahomanov, a round table was held with the participation of foreign guests from France, Germany, the Czech Republic, Austria and Switzerland. Scientists, educators, and journalists took part from Ukraine, including Academician Mykhailo Zgurovskyi, Academician Vasyl Kremen, Professor Oleksandr Sagan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Valery Tsybukh.
Opening of the X Congress of Junior Ambassador for Peace “All together - for peace!” took place in the specialized school 85 of Kyiv city.
Despite the fact that there is a war, schools continue to work in Ukraine. But the main condition for the work of the school is the opportunity for children to go down to the bomb shelter. Every single school solving this issue depending on the practical situation and possibilities. But all schools have a strong desire to take care of their students.
On May 31, 2022, the Universal Peace Federation sent medicine and dressing materials for local residents of Boyarka and Krasnograd. It was an extremely necessary medical aid, especially after the liberation of the Kyiv region territory from the Russian troops.
Volunteers of the Federation will continue to assist our citizens with medicines, medical supplies and other necessary things.
Our heartfelt condolences go out to the family and friends of Leonid Kravchuk, a Ukrainian politician and the first President of Ukraine, who served from December 5, 1991 until July 19, 1994. Born on January 10, 1934, he passed away at the age of 88 on May 10, 2022 in Kyiv, Ukraine.
The events currently unfolding in Ukraine are deeply troubling. UPF joins with others around the world in calling for an end to violence, the withdrawal of military troops and a renewed effort to search for a diplomatic solution.
On December 23, 2021, the New Year's lesson of the “Peace School” took place in the assembly hall of the specialized school №85. Lesson topic: “International law and globalization.” There were 35 participants in the class. The meeting was held in compliance with all norms of quarantine restrictions.
On November 17, 2021, the Universal Peace Federation in Ukraine (UPF) held an interactive lesson "Peace School" in an online format on the ZOOM platform on the topic: "Challenges of the 21st century".
The first lesson of the “School of Peace” this school year took place on October 20, 2021, in the assembly hall of the specialized school №85 on the topic: “Acquaintance of the participants of the School of Peace and discussion of plans for joint projects”. The organizer and host of the meeting was Alexander Repetsky, a member of the Federation of Youth for Peace. The event was attended by about 30 participants from schools in Kyiv.
Seventeen members of the Youth Federation for Peace with the support of the Universal Peace Federation conducted the international annual project "Peace Road -2021" on October 16, 2021.
